DIAGNOSTIC AssessmentS
When you’re worried about your child’s behaviour, learning, emotions, or development, it’s natural to want clear answers, not guesswork.
At our clinic, psychological assessments are designed to help families truly understand what’s going on beneath the surface, why certain challenges are showing up, and how best to support their child moving forward.
Our assessments explore:
Autism
ADHD
Learning differences
Intellectual and developmental ability
We work with children and adolescents aged 3–17 years, offering comprehensive, thoughtful assessments that prioritise clarity, compassion, and practical outcomes.
All assessments at our clinic begin with a Pre-Assessment Consultation. This allows the clinician to gather information about your child’s developmental history, discuss the assessment process, and answer any questions that arise. This appointment allows our assessors to determine the most appropriate (if any) assessment/s and advise you on which assessment pathway to proceed with according to your child’s presentation and needs.

Our Assessment Services
We offer a range of comprehensive, neurodiverse-affirming diagnostic and learning assessments, tailored to each child’s individual profile and needs.
-
A comprehensive assessment exploring social communication, sensory processing, emotional regulation, and behavioural patterns to determine whether a child meets criteria for autism - while also recognising strengths and individual differences.
-
A detailed evaluation of attention, impulse control, hyperactivity, emotional regulation, and executive functioning across home and school settings.
-
Designed for children where both profiles may be present, providing an integrated understanding rather than fragmented answers.
-
(Also known as a psycho-educational assessment)
This assessment looks at how your child thinks and learns, identifying cognitive strengths and areas of difficulty. It is commonly used to explore:• Learning disorders (e.g. dyslexia, dyscalculia)
• Academic underachievement
• Learning profiles that may benefit from targeted school supports
-
A focused assessment of intellectual functioning, often used to identify:
• Cognitive strengths and weaknesses
• Intellectual disability or giftedness
• Support needs or enrichment planning
-
Every child is different. Where needed, assessments can be adapted or combined to best reflect your child’s unique presentation.
