Ana Turino

Ana is a psychologist with a genuine interest in understanding people and supporting children, young people, and families in a way that feels safe, practical, and meaningful. Her journey into psychology was shaped by her own early experience with mental health, having seen firsthand how impactful the right support can be at a young age. That experience continues to guide her work today.

She brings a diverse background to her practice, having worked in Brazil with adults using a psychoanalytic approach, alongside experience in community mental health and organisational psychology. More recently, her work has focused on supporting children and adolescents, particularly in areas such as ADHD, Autism, emotional regulation, anxiety, and social skills.

Ana places strong importance on building trust and connection first, especially when working with children. She works closely with families to understand their goals and ensure everyone feels heard and supported. She believes that when children feel safe and understood, and families feel confident in how to support them, meaningful change can happen over time.

Outside of work, Ana enjoys staying active at the gym, spending time at the beach, and going for early morning or sunset walks. She loves good food, relaxing with comfort shows, and misses her two cats, Jorge and Seba, who live back in Brazil.

About Ana

(for kids and teens)

Hi, I’m Ana 😊 I’m a psychologist, which means I help kids and teens understand their thoughts and feelings, especially when things feel confusing, overwhelming, or a bit tricky.

When I was younger, I went through a tough time and saw a psychologist who really helped me. That experience made a big difference in my life, and it’s a big part of why I wanted to do this job. Now I get to be that safe, supportive person for others.

I work with kids and teens who might be dealing with things like anxiety, big emotions, friendship challenges, or school stress. Some people I work with have brains that work a little differently too, and that’s something I really enjoy supporting. Everyone is unique, and we’ll work together to figure out what helps you most.

My main goal is to help you feel comfortable, understood, and safe to be yourself. We’ll go at your pace, and I’ll help you learn new ways to understand your feelings and handle different situations.

When I’m not at work, I love going to the beach, going for walks, staying active, and relaxing with good food and movies. I’m really looking forward to meeting you! 🌟
