Emily King
Meet Emily, one of our caring and welcoming Client Care Officers at Harrison Child & Family Clinic. With a natural passion for helping others feel safe, comfortable, and supported, she brings a calm and thoughtful presence to the front desk and to every family who walks through our doors.
Emily has built meaningful hands-on skills through her work in disability support and social care. In these roles, she supported people with diverse needs, worked closely alongside families and support networks, and learned the importance of patience, empathy, and clear communication. These experiences shaped her ability to respond gently in sensitive moments, while still offering practical support and keeping things running smoothly.
She loves working with children and families because it allows her to be part of important moments in their lives. She especially enjoys seeing the small wins along the way, whether it’s a child feeling more confident, finding a new way to communicate, or a family feeling more understood and supported.
Outside of the clinic, she enjoys hiking, playing board games, and relaxing with her favourite creative hobbies like painting and knitting. Having previously danced at a semi-professional ballet level, creative movement remains an important part of her life. She also has two adored cats, Marlin and Henry, who are truly her world and keep her smiling every day.
